When I'm not creating art, I enjoy gardening, cooking, dancing and writing in my spare time. Many of my pieces are influenced by my love of nature and the moon. I love creating a certain mood by the use of color and texture in my work.
I’ve always been creative- when I was little I created a picture book of horses all drawn in crayon. It was only recently that I started taking formal art classes at a local studio. I fell in love with working with wool, creating wet and needle felted landscapes. I also do acrylic painting, pencil drawing and sculpting with clay.
I use a variety of wools and other fibers - Merino, Corriedale, Romney, Angelina, Tussah silk - to create original works of art. I also embellish my wool paintings with embroidery thread and beads.
